We’re proud to share that Sano Genetics plays a key role in the newly announced Lupus Nexus Foundational Analyses, a groundbreaking initiative led by the Lupus Research Alliance (LRA) to accelerate personalized treatments for people living with lupus.

These analyses mark a major milestone for the Lupus Nexus program, integrating multi-omic data (genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and microbiome) with rich clinical and patient-reported outcomes. The Foundational Analyses datasets will add a critical new layer of depth to the Lupus Nexus. Beginning in late 2025, researchers will gain access to these integrated datasets, with additional data releases planned for the following years.

For the first time, researchers will be able to access all of these datasets through the DREAM platform, built and maintained by Sano. As the infrastructure partner for DREAM (Data Repository, Exchange, and Analytics platforM), our mission is to make this unprecedented volume and diversity of data accessible, usable, and impactful. From secure data management and real-time accessibility, to intuitive user experiences and patient portals, our technology is helping translate data into discovery.

This initiative builds on the foundation we helped lay in 2023, when we joined the Lupus Nexus to develop tools that connect patients, researchers, and data in one cohesive ecosystem. Today, with the launch of the Foundational Analyses, that vision is coming to life, offering a unique opportunity to understand the complexity of lupus and drive breakthroughs that are long overdue.

We’re honored to work alongside LRA and leading research collaborators in this effort. By combining our platform with their scientific leadership, we’re helping to build a patient-centered, collaborative, and data-driven future for precision medicine in lupus.
