Which DNA data does Sano support?

We support data from a range of direct-to-consumer sequencing services, including 23andMe and AncestryDNA.

If you’re new to the Sano platform and already have DNA data, you can simply upload your existing genetic information. You’ll gain access to personalised results in our free personalised genetic reports (if you don’t have data you’ll still be able to view these but they won’t be personalised) and receive recommendations for exciting opportunities to participate in research.

Should you decide to use your genetic data to participate in research, you’ll be contributing to the future of personalised medicine and helping us focus our efforts to power research in rare and chronic diseases.

We support data from:

Don’t have DNA data?

If you don’t currently have DNA data you can find out if you’re eligible for a free test with Sano by updating your profile .

In order to help advance genetic research, Sano is offering free DNA testing for research participants in a number of condition areas as part of select studies. The first project to offer free DNA testing will be Sano’s large-scale study into genetics and Long COVID.

Choose where and how you share your data

At Sano you remain in full control of your data and can adjust your data sharing permissions and withdraw or delete your data at any time via the ‘My data’ page.

We believe in transparency and making sure you get the most out of your DNA data. Your data will only ever be shared with researchers if and when you agree to it on the Sano platform.
