Sano Genetics, Genomics England and Zetta to host patient portal development workshop

We would like to invite you to participate in a workshop for patients affected by genetic conditions, or their carers, to help in the development of a new software platform for patient engagement in research.

The goal of the platform is to add an important layer of patient-derived information to research in developing new medicines. The information provided by individuals through the platform may be reported by participants directly, for example, daily symptom tracking, or by linking a device such as a watch that measures activity or sleep.

These workshops, and the development of the platform, are funded by an innovate UK grant awarded to Sano Genetics, Genomics England and Zetta Genomics. InnovateUK is the UK’s innovation agency that funds and supports science technology ideas that grow the economy.

The workshops will be held from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm on April 1st and April 23rd in central London, with approximately 15 participants per workshop.

Please note, we have a contingency plan in place to enable remote attendance for some or all attendees due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, which we will be monitoring closely.

On the day, there will be small and large group discussion sessions, in which workshop participants will be asked to review, discuss, and give feedback on potential features for the platform. This will help us to understand what is most important to potential users of the platform.

Participants in the workshops will be reimbursed for travel expenses as well as receive £100 payment as a thank you for their time and participation. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
